Free Medication, Free Medicine, Free Prescription Drug Program
Helping Americans in Need to get Free or Low-Cost Prescription Drugs

Welcome to the National
FREE Medicine Program

Do you qualify for free medications?

Some of the basic requirements to
be enrolled include the following:

  • Free medicine applicant must reside in the fifty states or Puerto Rico.

  • Free medicine applicant has no insurance coverage for outpatient prescription drugs.

  • Free medicine applicant must have a good relationship with their doctor.  The doctor will have to sign a form and/or make a toll free telephone call on behalf of the free medicine applicant for the applicant to receive the free medications.

  • Free medicine applicant's income is at a level which causes a hardship when required to purchase the medication at retail rates.

  • Free medicine applicant does not qualify for a government or third party program which provides for prescription drugs.

  • There is an income requirement.  In most cases if the free medicine applicant makes less than $1,500 per month per individual or $2,000 per month per family there is a good chance of meeting the income criteria. With each medication the income criteria varies from below the poverty to up to $60,000! Those applicants normally qualifying at the highest income limits are generally MS, AIDS, transplant or cancer patients in need of very expensive drugs.

Can't Afford Your Prescription Medication?
FREE Prescription Medicine is
Available for those who Qualify.

Our goal is to help Americans get their medications for free. For six years, we have assisted tens of thousands of people across the nation to substantially reduce or completely eliminate their prescription drug bills. The majority of our applicants have too many resources to qualify for government prescription drug assistance programs, and too little resources to pay retail rates for their medications. We charge a one-time $5 fee per medication application.  However, if the medication is not available for free or if your application for free medication is denied for any reason, you will receive a refund.

Three steps to significantly lower your medication costs...Step 1: Get what you can for FREE FIRST; Step 2: Talk to your doctor about prescribing less expensive medications, changing to generic medications and/or get a prescription for a higher dose and cut the pills in half; Step 3: for medications you can't get for free and can't afford, shop for the best prices.

To achieve the best results, we recommend that consumers first attempt to get their medications for free. Then for prescription medications unavailable for free, everyone qualifies to save up to 80% by getting discounted medications.

According to the Wall Street Journal, it's not just poor people who qualify for free medicine. To qualify, applicants must show they have no prescription insurance coverage; household income must be low enough that paying for medicine would pose a hardship; and that they make to much money to qualify for public assistance such as Medicaid. Individuals with family incomes ranging from below the national poverty level up to $38,000, and in some cases, families with annual incomes as high as $60,000 can receive free drugs.

Free Medicine Foundation, a patient-advocacy organization, connects patients to free or very low-cost prescription drug programs available to eliminate or substantially reduce their prescription drug bills.  Last year, over 7.6 million Americans of all ages utilized what the Wall Street Journal calls the best-kept secret in the drug business by taking advantage of patient assistance programs. These programs help those who otherwise cannot afford prescription drugs receive their brand-name medications absolutely free.  For a $5 fee per prescription, Lawson Healthcare Foundation Foundation assists the applicant through the complicated paperwork and application process.

As a part of their pledge that “no patient in need of medicines will do without them,” over 160 leading drug companies including Pfizer, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Eli Lilly, Wyeth-Ayerst, Searle and Merck now offer their medications at no cost to patients. Pfizer currently donates more medicines to patients than any other pharmaceutical company. Last year, Pfizer helped approximately 1.4 million patients by providing 2.3 million prescriptions valued at nearly $345 million.  Brand-name drugs such as Lipitor©, Daypro©, Norvasc©, Neurontin©, Zocor©, Viagra© Glucophage© and hundreds more are covered under these assistance programs.  Most all brand-name drugs are available for free to those who qualify.

Caregivers, churches and social organizations are encouraged to utilize Lawson Healthcare Foundation’s services.  Volunteers are needed to help spread the word to those who cannot afford the high costs of prescription medication. Send us an email to MedicalDiscounts@aol.com or call 1-888-380-6337 to request a free supply of brochures mailed to you that are designed to provide the patient/applicant with information and an application for this program.

To be approved for free medicine enrollment, the primary requirements are the following:

bullet Is it a financial hardship because of the high cost of your medicine?

bullet You don't have medical insurance coverage that pays for outpatient prescription drugs?

bullet Have you maxed out or reached a cap on your outpatient prescription drug insurance coverage?

bullet Have you exhausted all your third party insurance and/or aid from Medicaid and social agencies?

bullet Are you taking care of your loved ones and paying for their prescription medication because they can’t?

Why do Pharmaceutical Companies Help Patients Get Their Medicines for FREE?

As advocates for patients seeking prescription medicine assistance, MDI is committed to getting the word out and helping patients apply for free medicine. MDI is an organization that puts people in touch with sponsors willing to supply free medication.   As cost of prescription medications continues to increase, often making them unaffordable for people without insurance, the drug manufacturers themselves are helping get their products to the people who need them practically free of charge.  Pharmaceutical sponsors who have programs do so for various reasons. Some believe that they have a corporate social obligation to help those who can't afford their products. Others believe it's a good marketing tool. One free medicine sponsor has stated, “many people who can't afford their medicines now go on to obtain some type of prescription coverage. And when they get this coverage, the pharmaceutical companies want the patient to remain on their products.”

Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), an association and lobbying group whose members include many of the larger pharmaceutical manufacturers have pledged, “no patient in need of medicines will do without them.”  Also, this is made possible in part by the Federal Government, which provides tax rebates to drug companies in the USA who provide free medications through these programs. The New York Times says, "for patients, these plans can be life-savers”.
